Prince Road Exchange Construction Update:

We know its no fun to battle road construction, so we want to share this information from the DOT.  You can find information directly from DOT here: www.azdot.gov/tucson10widening

Thursday Night:

May 10 – at 7 pm these 3 Interstate-10 eastbound Exits; Sunset, Ruthrauff and Prince Road exits will all be closed to allow the rerouting of the eastbound lanes over to the other side between Ruthrauff and Miracle Mile.

 

Friday Morning:

May 11 – at 5 am the Ruthrauff and Sunset eastbound exits will open. The existing Prince Exit is closed forever. A new eastbound Prince exit with the new overpass will open (south of this one) when construction is completed.

 

As of FRIDAY MORNING (May 11) everyone – coming from either direction need to exit at Ruthrauff (El Camino Del Cerro exit # 252) and travel south down the southbound frontage road on the west side of Interstate 10.

  • From Friday May 11 until Tuesday May 15 the southbound Frontage Road will exist as it is now, going across Prince Road.
  • On Wednesday May 16 it will be closed at Prince Road.
    • To reach Vaquero you will need to take the 2nd right hand (just past Goodman’s Office Supply) turn from the Frontage Road onto Commerce Drive and follow the signs to Ft Lowell. This takes you behind, west of the Kenworth Truck Business and Prince RV Park. You will come back to the Frontage Road south of Vaquero – but the Frontage Road from the closed Prince Rd south to Ft Lowell will become a TWO-WAY street. You will turn left on the Frontage Road, travel north and make a left turn into the Vaquero driveway.

 

This new route will remain the same until construction is completed.
